📚 Happy Librarian Appreciation Day! 🎉Today, we're shining a spotlight on someone who's not just a keeper of books but a beacon of knowledge and guidance within our Edgemont school community. 🌟 Senior Spotlight at Edgemont High! 🌟
We're thrilled to shine the spotlight on a remarkable senior project that drives right into the heart of passion and skill. Meet Addison Neville, an incredibly talented member of our senior class who has taken her love for pickups to the next level!
🛠️ For her senior project, Addison delved deep into the world of automotive restoration and enhancement, focusing on her own pickup. With hands already skilled from working on older vehicles, Addie decided to tackle a new challenge – welding.
🚚 Her project? Designing and constructing a headache rack for her pickup. This journey wasn't just about putting metal together; it was about mastering the art of welding, researching the perfect headache rack design that matched her needs, and meticulously drafting out her vision before bringing it to life.
🔥 After an intensive process of learning, planning, and creating, Addie successfully welded her custom headache rack and mounted it onto her pickup, marking the completion of her ambitious project.
But the road doesn't end here! Addie's dedication and expertise have earned her a spot in the running to win the Build South Dakota scholarship. Post-graduation, she's set to rev up her career at RDO in Sioux Falls, working on diesel machinery with a focus on Construction Equipment.
🌈 We're incredibly proud of Addison's accomplishments and her drive to push the limits of her automotive passion. As she gears up for the next chapter, we know she'll continue to excel and inspire.

🎓🌟 Exciting Times at Edgemont! 🌟🎓 As we embark on the final quarter of the school year, it's a pivotal time for our Edgemont Eighth Grade students! They're diving into the 8th Grade to High School Transition Class, an elective course crafted to smooth their journey into high school life. 🏫➡️🏫 This unique program addresses the social, emotional, and academic shifts our students face, with each week spotlighting a new theme. From understanding graduation requirements to exploring dual enrollment options, and demystifying concepts like aiding and work release, we're covering all bases to ensure our students are well-prepared for their upcoming high school adventure. 📚💡 And it doesn't stop there! We're also bringing in the voices of experience to guide our future high schoolers. This week, we were thrilled to have JJ Ostenson, our esteemed Student Council President, share his invaluable high school insights. JJ's stories of the highs and lows offered a genuine perspective that resonated deeply with both students and faculty. 🗣️👥 As we look forward to the milestones ahead, we wish all our seniors and eighth graders the very best as they step into new experiences and challenges. Here's to their success and the exciting journey that lies ahead! 🎉📈 #EdgemontMoguls #HighSchoolTransition #FutureReady #SeniorAdvice #Classof2024 #MightyMoguls #FullSteamAhead #LayingTheTracks
