🎉👑 Celebrating Remarkable Moments at Edgemont! 🙌 We gathered for a special Homecoming Pep Rally, a highlight in a week filled with festivities, to honor one of our newest staff members, Katelyn Bach. 🍎✏️ Katelyn is our fantastic middle school math and science teacher, currently in her senior year at Chadron State College. 📚🎓 Unconventional? Perhaps. But we couldn't have asked for a more dedicated math teacher. 🌟 Did you know? Ms. Bach was part of the Chadron State College Homecoming Court this year, but she selflessly chose to be here for Edgemont’s Homecoming instead. 🏈🎉 To express our gratitude, we crowned her our honorary CSC Queen! 👸 She embodies the spirit of sacrifice and dedication. 💖 Big cheers for Edgemont’s CSC Homecoming Queen, Katelyn Bach, and shoutout to our local Senior Homecoming Royalty, Jackie Heisler and JJ Ostenson! 🎉👑 #EdgemontPride #SelflessDedication #HomecomingCelebrations #MightyMoguls #FullSteamAhead 🎉
Students working on reviewing the continents and oceans by playing a game. They are also working on a travel brochure to a continent of their choice. Students are learning how to type on the computer.
🌿 We love embracing Teachable Moments at Edgemont! 🐍 During today's outdoor Spanish class, one of our adventurous students found and captured a garden snake 🐍. We jumped at the chance to share this encounter with our science and library classes, letting them admire the beauty of local wildlife from our front lawn. 📚🔬 At Edgemont, we cherish our local landscape and all creatures great and small, making the most of every opportunity to celebrate them. The 8th-12th graders are now selling Butter Braids and Pastry Puffins until October 12! If you buy online, there are more fun products available. This money helps support the Freshman Impact program as well as our Dental Bus. For more information, ask one of our students or Ms. Becky.

Anatomy students in the lab!
The Primary Learners are busy in their classrooms this week. Some are learning about the letter H and acted out the book Six Hogs on a Scooter. Other learners have been stretching their math brains with place value work.

Mrs. J's Upper Elementary students enthusiastically engaged in book clubs, composed of third, fourth, and fifth graders. Their inaugural meeting took place on Zoom last week. Students had the choice of delving into one of two juvenile chapter books: "The One and Only Ivan" or "Restart." The gathering was filled with lively discussions, breakout room interactions, and enjoyable moments customizing digital backgrounds for their video chats. A heartfelt thank you goes to the parents for their invaluable support in extending the learning experience and for aligning with our mission of nurturing readers who evolve into leaders.
Donkey basketball is one week from today! FFA members will be selling advance tickets through Thursday 10/6. Contact an FFA member to buy advance tickets or just show up to the game and buy your tickets at the door. Don't miss out on the Edgemont celebrities riding donkeys and playing basketball!
We're turning on the lights and watching football on our home field tomorrow, September 28, at 7:00!
Come join us in watching some middle school sports tomorrow. The volleyball team hosts Hermosa on our home court at 4:00. Our football team will play Sioux County under the lights at 7:00.
