For six years running, Mrs. Wright's Elementary Spanish classes have embarked on an exciting quest to find the runaway gingerbread men scattered throughout our school. 🏃♂️🍪 This year was no different – it was an epic success! 🙌 Students teamed up, exploring every nook and cranny, determined to track down these spirited treats. And guess what? Oakley Kaiser stunned us all by finding TWO gingerbread men in just ONE DAY! Absolutely incredible work, Oakley! 👏🎉 Meanwhile, Lane Maciejewski, now a middle schooler and retired from the hunt, left a legendary legacy by finding gingerbread men for three consecutive years! 🌟🏆 These record setters would be the seekers of our Quidditch team if we were at Hogwarts! 🧹✨ Before the hunt, students delved into the tale of the runaway gingerbread man in Spanish class, learning the vocabulary associated with the story but in Spanish. They also created delightful gingerbread art. 🎨📚 We cherish these small-town school traditions that bring so much joy! 🏫❤️ Catch more on this cherished tradition in this week's Fall River Herald Star. 📰 #GingerbreadHunt #SmallTownTraditions #SeekersOfTheGingerbreadMen #MightyMoguls #LayingTheTracks

They have been working hard on building tic tax toe boxes, which incorporates the use of tools such as the drill press, belt sander, and a multitude of hand tools. We are very pleased with their work and safety in the woodshop!

Ms. Brotherton's social studies finished up studying the Regions of the United States by doing a presentation on each region and bringing in food that is specific to each region. Students did a great job with their presentations and enjoyed eating the different food brought in. We had pizza for the Northeast, jambalaya from the Southeast, puppy chow and buckeye balls for the Midwest, Taquitos from the Southwest, and donuts from the West.

Please join us as we continue our series on student safety. Monday's presentation will focus on how drugs are marketed.
What are the current trends in drug marketing, both legal and illegal? How are both traditional media and social media used to promote drug use and sales? How are our youth targeted with this marketing? How high is the risk of our youth being manipulated through these marketing strategies, especially here in Edgemont?
Join us Monday, December 5, at 5:30 in the multi-purpose room for supper and answers to these questions.
