Greetings Mogul Family!
We are so close to having everyone back in the building! As bittersweet as the end of summer can be, I always love the beginning of school. Hearing the laughter of our learners in the building is wonderful. These big rooms and hallways are not meant to be empty for too long.
We are still practicing Covid mitigation strategies as we come back to school. The most important pieces of these strategies are washing our hands and covering our coughs, maintaining a physical distance of at least three feet but wearing a mask when we can’t, and encouraging vaccinations for those who are eligible. If you have questions about our Covid plan, it is on the website, or please feel free to call me here at school.
The week of August 23-26, our kindergarten through fifth grade students will be released at 1:00. It is difficult to know the best way to transition these young learners into school. There were many tears last year in our first full week! For those who are concerned about childcare those afternoons, the YMCA will be holding KidStop in the library. If you are interested, please contact Kelsey Trotter at 307-756-2959 or via email at Kelsey@rcymca.org.
Finally, Edgemont School will be able to offer lunches at no charge to our learners for the 21-22 school year. We will still have milk and a la carte breakfasts available for a charge, but lunches will not be a cost.
We will see everyone for our Open House on August 19 (4:30-6:30) and for the first day of school on August 23. I am looking forward to hearing about the summer adventures everyone has had.
In the meantime, please stay safe and keep washing your hands,
Mrs. Ferley
