πŸŽ‰ Yesterday, our talented Spanish 1 students dazzled us with their annual fashion show! As the grand finale of their clothing unit, students introduced various looks with flairβ€”all in Spanish! Our creative girls took on the challenge with styles ranging from grandmas to frat brothers, while the boys showcased their best explorer and nerd outfits. A huge shoutout to everyone involved! πŸŽ‰ Today was a big day for our Edgemont High School freshmen! 🌟 They showcased their incredible "20 Time" projects, a unique initiative inspired by companies like 3M and Google, which allows employees to dedicate 20% of their work time to a personal project. Our freshmen have spent every Wednesday of their second semester diving deep into their passions, and the results were nothing short of inspiring! From drafting business plans for lawn mowing services to mastering the art of knapping to create obsidian arrowheads, crafting cozy tie blankets, painting vibrant murals, enhancing a YouTube channel with new editing techniques, conducting research on local pond fish, compiling family recipes into a cookbook, and even composing original songsβ€”our students have done it all! πŸŽ¨πŸŽ΅πŸŒΏπŸ“š These projects not only foster creativity and personal growth but also equip our students with critical life skills such as planning, prioritization, and problem-solving. We are incredibly proud of what they've accomplished and can't wait to see how they apply these skills in the future. Way to go, freshmen! πŸ‘πŸ’‘#EdgemontProud #20TimeProjects #StudentSuccess #LayingTheTrack #MightyMogul #FullSteamAhead

This spring, some of the Primary Learners wrote letters to EHS alumni asking them about what school was like for them. They also asked about the geography of the area they are in. There were many responses. Thank you, EHS Alumni!

Unfortunately, the weather did not hold out for today's track meet. However, I asked the teams if they would like to postpone until Saturday when I can possibly get Dakota timing to come down. I will follow up when I get answers. I apologize for the inconvenience.

We had a great day in our high school construction equipment class. With the help of one of our community members, Tom Porter, students were able to get out of the classroom and put the skills they have been learning on the heavy equipment simulators to use! The simulators proved to be highly beneficial before getting in actual equipment. Thanks to the Porter's for letting our students run their equipment!

🎬✨ Premiere Alert! ✨🎬 We are thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of JJ Ostenson, a senior at our school, who has recently completed his ambitious senior projectβ€”a short film from scratch! JJ took on the roles of writer, director, and editor, diving deep into the filmmaking process. πŸŽ₯πŸ“ His passion for Theater Arts and his upcoming career in the field inspired him to learn by doing, and what a success it has been! He skillfully gathered a team of fellow students as actors, guiding them through the scenes and bringing his vision to life. 🌟 The film, crafted to mirror industry standards, was premiered to an enthusiastic group of friends and family, marking a significant achievement in JJ's artistic journey. πŸ‘ Let’s give a huge round of applause to JJ and all the talented students involved in this project. Your hard work and creativity shine! #SeniorProjectSuccess #FutureFilmmaker #MightyMoguls #FullSteamAhead #LayingTheTracks

🌟 Senior Project Spotlight: Landon Heisler's Volunteer Experience at Cheyenne River Animal Hospital 🌟 We're proud to share how Landon Heisler, one of our dedicated seniors, spent his Senior Experience! Landon volunteered at the Cheyenne River Animal Hospital, where he took on various responsibilities, from checking inventory to assisting with surgeries. A standout moment for Landon was his involvement in a life-changing procedure where he helped prepare a dog for a leg amputation. He not only assisted in cleaning the incision site but also operated a laser to aid in wound closure post-surgery. This hands-on experience at the veterinary clinic has been an incredible part of Landon's senior year, demonstrating his commitment to learning and helping within our community. Thank you to Cheyenne River Animal Hospital for supporting our students through internship opportunities. #SeniorExperience #StudentSpotlight #MightyMoguls #FullSteamAhead #LayingTheTracks
